ADVENT PROJECT

As  we are drawing closer to Advent Season, many are anticipating the coming of Christmas. Children are getting excited as they will be receiving toys and gifts from parents and grandparents.  As an Adult, I believe, it will be a good time for us to remind the youth the importance of thinking of those who are in need.

As a group Advent Project, your children have brought home a box yesterday after PREP Class to help raise money to support the Holy Childhood Association Project:  CHILDREN HELPING CHILDREN. Please click the link to watch the videos with your child on some of the third world country children where this fund is  helping. http://www.missionsocieties.ca/category/gallery/video/  This will be our Advent Project starting the week of Nov 19, 2018  and end on the week of Jan 7, 2019.

By doing this project, it is my hope that not only that the fund raised can help the children in need, but our children will gain something out by doing this project.  Parents, I am hoping that you can support the assigned work as this will be a life skills that your children can develop: This is definitely a way of teaching children the Values of EMPATHY.

For All Gr 2 & 3 PREP Students:  Please write down a Prayer that you will pray for the Children who are in Need For All Gr 5 PREP Students : Please write down a Bible Verse that talks about Helping Others ( Tips: Use Google search) For All Gr 6 & Gr 7 PREP Students: Write down a Goal,  and your Plan on how to achieve your Fundraising Goal.  Children will do the work in the next 3 weeks as they plan and on Jan. when they come back from their Christmas Break, they will review the Plan and what they did. If it is successful or not, they can reflect, learn how they can improve in the future project.  ( PLAN - DO - REVIEW is a good way to do any project. I encourage the Gr 6 and Gr 7 to try and take this as a lesson as this will be a good skill to have for future High School Project)
